Paranormal Activity writer-director Oren Peli and Paranormal Activity 2 screenwriter Michael R. Perry have co-created a new tv series that will continue the style they’re most well versed in.
THR is reporting that the duo has teamed with Dreamworks TV and ABC Studios to create a show called The River. It will be about a person who went missing on the Amazon river and tries his best to hold in his pee because the water is teeming with candiria that want nothing more than to swim up his urethra.
Wait, damn my imagination! (PARADIGM SHIFT) It’s simply about someone who went missing, and they’re airing his presumably creepy found footage, just like Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, The Blair Witch Project, The Last Broadcast, and Cannibal Holocaust before it.
Dreamsworks and ABC are near a pilot deal. At least it’s something new for tv!

True, Alex, it may be just like Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, etc, etc. But how many of them deal with the real horror of having to go to the bathroom but having (echoing voice) NO WHERE TO GO.
Couldn't he just, I dunno, pull off to the side and go in the bushes like we all do?
Candiria is a metal band. The candirú is the pee pee fish.
This crap, and we still can't get Solomon Kane.
Sigh.
