I can barely look at this orgy of photoshop comping that tosses out all sense of scale, proportion, lighting, and source-image quality, but here’s another Avengers poster reminding us that we’re a mere 2-months away from the superhero team-up epic!
Exciting, even if Marvel is resorting to trapper-keeper levels of promotional image quality.
Thoughts on the poster? Still excited for the flick? Need another trailer, or are you “midnight-showing!” sold?

Why the hell is Cap so damn big?
Hawkeye looks to be displeased being the only one standing at a 45 degree angle.
I hate the marvel movies. They tap into fanboy pandering and get what they want. These films are products through and through. This uncreative poster once again shows that. Demand more from your films and life people! Also, it was not even shoot in NYC it was shot in Cleveland! Cleveland!
Helmets? We don’t need no stinkin’ helmets.
I’m more interested in my next bowel movement than this or any other Marvel crapfest. Hilarious poster though.
Renn Brown, AVENGERS ASSEMBLE in…Style! The poster truly is…MARVELous! I cannot wait til May 4th!
Man, I’m really getting superhero movied-out. I really hope Whedon goes back to making interesting tv shows (or at least original films) and the rest of the collective Summer Tentpole Machine goes back to making anything besides superhero movies and adaptations of 80’s toy lines.
I’m still curious about this one, although marketing materials like this are a hate crime. Even the garish Clash of the Titans lunchbox I had in 1982 was at least hand-painted and properly-scaled crappy composite art. There are a million unemployed or under-employed brilliant graphic artists out there; I really don’t understand how this even happens on something so high profile. Nepotism? Or maybe it is supposed to be the marketing equivalent of an ironic mustache.
Duke this poster could have the entire crew sitting in a pile of shit and you would still throw your hands in the air thinking its the second coming. In other news the poster is pretty much the same old shit, shocking seeing that it comes from a company that pretty much churns outs 30 plus posters every month, and their called fucking COMIC BOOKS! Stick some of those wonderful fuckers in the poster department
BlabedAboutMars, Not True! The poster has all the…Assembled Avengers, it is not just…Floating Heads. You could skip all the superheroes and just say…The Avengers May 4th, but that is just too…LO KI, for my tastes!
All they had to do was frame the actors exactly like on a comic book cover. It’s the same bloody company.
Utterly dysfunctional production hierarchy right there. It takes an army to make a poster that bad.
At least it wasn’t shot in Vancouver.
As long…AS IT is…GODZILLA sHIT!!
