I’ve already disclosed my concerns about a film where our main avenue of defense is a tech the United States military decommissioned in 1992. So aside from that, this new Battleship trailer isn’t bad. But I’m still having trouble reconciling director Peter Berg’s (Friday Night Lights, The Rundown) involvement with the fact this film still looks like Transformers Set Sail!
What do you think of the trailer? Does it make you want to buy the board game?

I was thinking that same thing, but I was also excited for Episode I after the trailers so……

I’m guessing the conceit will be that the aliens have a group shield that extends say 20 miles (more suitable for space travel etc), and inside that they’re vunnerable to cannon-fire and sharp sticks – while outside they’re impervious to nukes and whatever. It’s like the whole movie taking place on the “soft underbelly” of the dragon.
Is it just me or does Rhianna look like she was added in post?
