Last week I ran the latest round of character posters for Marvel’s The Avengers. Those were alright, but this is much cooler. Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson has served as connective tissue for the Marvel films, popping in with the occasional quip or bringing attention to pertinent SHIELD business. Coulson’s putting his neck on the line same as everyone else and he has no discernible superpowers. So why shouldn’t he have his own god-damned poster?

It really is time for Coulson to get his own movie. Just follow the guy around on an ordinary average day in his life. Taking the bottle away from Stark, coaxing the Hulk out of the White House toilets (unsmashed), convincing Thor to wear a condom with Portman, teaching Cap how to use Facebook, and finishing off by spanking Black Widow for being a bad, bad girl.
“Coulson, Agent of SHIELD” could be filmed on a shoe string and make hundreds of millions.
