With all this casting news for Robert Rodriguez’ upcoming Machete Kills film, it hadn’t occurred to me that he had yet to cast one of the most well known Mexican American actors in any of his films. Edward James Olmos.
Now he has.
Olmos has been cast in a role that is unnamed and there is no details on it yet either, but the point is, he’s in there, and it hopefully won’t be a cameo. I’m expecting him to deliver some full on guns blazing action. If De Niro could do it in the first one, Olmos can in the sequel.

Drat! You stole my Magnum joke.
It would be very cool, if at the end of Machete Kills, Edward James Olmos digs into his pocket and pulls out an Origami of a Machete and places it on a table.
I’m expecting him to STAND and deliver some full on guns blazing action.
