The headline says it all, but Victoria’s Secret model and all-around hottie extraordinaire Rosie Hunington-Whiteley is the latest to join George Miller’s revival of the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road. Whiteley is joining Tom Hardy as the titular Max Rockatansky (replacing enormous green rage-monster Mel Gibson) and Charlize Theron as all-new character Furiosa. Whiteley, who last appeared in the supremely dumb Transformers: Dark of the Moon, is set to play one of five wives that Max needs to rescue. That’s all that’s known about her at this time.
Watching Whiteley pose and bounce around Chicago was one of the few things that made Moon at least watchable. You might have noticed, but she’s actually quite striking (as the below embed illustrates).

I like that Miller has cast a model instead of an actress in a uncomplicated role such as this. It means he will niot be wasting a serious actress.
May I remind you of the dumb model they cast in Transporter 3?

Well going on how Miller structured the other movies, being hot = being valuable. So if she’s like one of 5 stolen wives of some post-apocalyptic civilization bigwig then it’s Max coming in as a troubleshooter and getting a tour of the power structures of the day before taking whatever his own course of action is.
Or it’s some bigwig creating a harem by kidnapping desireable women etc, you get the same thing from the ground up rather than the top down. The question is how mercenary he is at the beginning versus the end.
Thunderdome is already the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull of the series.
I watched that trailer you imbedded above – is this from a new revenge film? A severely disturbed woman begins breaking into buildings late at night and sexually assaults young office workers? Looks terrifying.
Can nobody stand up to this evil?
