I’ve been dying to see a proper trailer for Robot and Frank – from first time feature director Jake Schreier and writer Christopher D. Ford – since reading a blurb about it last year. Really, I’ll see most anything Frank Langella is in, but the premise of an aging cat burglar who forms an unlikely partnership with his robot nurse (voiced by Peter Sarsgaard) is just delightful on its own. And the trailer more than lives up to that premise. Even though the film is a comedy, I like how straight-faced it presents the near-future technology.

If we didn’t just see the whole movie in the trailer, this could be very good.

Looks cute, and it’s nice to see movies that focus on older folks (even if it does apparently get a bit “you-young-whippersnappers”-ish). Until I read the text more carefully, I could’ve sworn that was Kevin Spacey doing his robo-voice from Moon.
You know, that looks delightful.
It says “Frank Legella” on the main page.
Curiosity Cosby meant the robot voice, I take it, not the main actor who is obviously Frank Legella not Spacey.
This movie looks great.
